[BUSAN] I have seen so many videos of Busan‘s Gamcheon Culture Village 감천문화마을, that I knew I needed to make a visit there.
Often referred to as “Machu Picchu of South Korea” or the “Santorini of the East”, it is a striking scene of brightly-coloured houses adorned with murals, sculptures, and installations created by residents and artists.
The village’s unique aesthetic and historical depth attract visitors from around the world, making it a must-see destination in Busan.
And one café with a good vantage point of it all – Coffee It House 커피잇집.
Its Barbie pink exterior, a stark contrast to the surrounding blue and yellow houses, makes it an easy spot to find and a hard one to forget.
Walking into the café, you would find large windows and an open rooftop which offers expansive views of the vibrant village below.
The cafe sprawls across multiple levels, with the main floor typically occupied by those who need to take some TikTok videos.
The second floor boasts a vast window framing the colourful houses, while a terrace extends a more open vista.
There are also thoughtfully-placed photo zones, including a red rose backdrop and a quaint, pink telephone booth.
As for the menu, you would find a range of coffee, ade, and smoothies. A small selection of cakes is also available.
Some standouts would be the Strawberry Latte (6,500 Won), Grapefruit Ade (6,000 Won), Peach Ade (6,000 Won) to Mango Smoothie (7,000 Won)
Considering its location, prices are considerably reasonable, aligning with the typical cafe range.
And there are presented in this cute-in-pink drink holder.
Coffee It House provides quite an experience as its service was warm and hospitable (unlike another café I visited here).
Its strategic location within Gamcheon Culture Village, coupled with the exceptional vantage points it offers, is sure to leave an indelible mark on your Busan journey.
